Privacy note
Last updated: October 2026
In short: this site uses no cookies, no analytics and no tracking. Personal data is only handled when you send me a message or watch a video.
Who is responsible
This website is run by Dávid Halmi, reachable at dh@musiconpurpose.net. If you have any question about your data, write to that address.
Contact form
When you use the contact form, the name, email address and message you enter are sent through Web3Forms, a form service that forwards them to my email inbox. Web3Forms processes this data under its own privacy policy, and its servers may be located outside the EU.
- Why: to answer your enquiry and, if we work together, to handle the project.
- Legal basis: steps taken at your request before a possible contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)), and my legitimate interest in answering messages (Art. 6(1)(f)).
- How long: I keep the conversation for as long as it’s needed for the enquiry or project, then delete it, unless the law requires me to keep something longer (for example, invoicing records).
Your data is never sold or used for marketing.
Videos
The video previews on the home page are loaded from YouTube’s image servers, so your browser connects to YouTube (Google) and shares your IP address when the page loads. The video player itself is only loaded when you click a video, and it uses YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). Once you play a video, Google’s privacy policy applies.
Fonts, music and images
All fonts, images and audio samples are served from this website itself. No font services or other third-party content delivery networks are used.
Hosting
The site is hosted on GitHub Pages by GitHub, Inc. Like any web host, GitHub records technical data such as your IP address when you visit, for security and to deliver the site. See the GitHub privacy statement.
Links to other sites
Links to other websites (such as my releases page) lead to sites with their own privacy practices.
Your rights
You can ask me to tell you what data I hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict its use, give it to you in a portable format, or stop processing it. Just email me at the address above. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority. In Hungary, this is the National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH).
